Boston starter Nathan Walters pitched effectively against the New York Knights at Fenway Park. The right-hander led his team to a 7-4 win. Keith Hill, credited with the save, is now 4 for 8 in save opportunities. The slumping Knights have lost 6 straight.

Ken McDonald had a big bases-clearing double for the Rebels in the bottom of the second inning. With Boston trailing 4-2 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Thatcher Smith and stroked the double to center. It was his 31st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rebels ahead, 5-4.

McDonald told a Boston Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
