Victory Pushes Beavers Record to 76-33
|
Baffin Island Beavers starter Ron Young was in fine form against the Philadelphia Athletics at Edmund Fitzgerald Field, leading his team to a 4-1 win. Beau Brown notched his 13th save in 16 chances. Baffin Island goes to 76-33. The win puts them 8 games up in their division.
Albert Morgan, who is tied for 3rd in the NL with a .346 batting average, aided the Baffin Island cause with a 2-run double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI.
