River Sharks Come Back Late to Clip Browns
The Austin River Sharks faced a tough opponent in St. Louis pitcher Ramón Ruíz, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Gateway Stadium by a final score of 5-2. Ruíz went 5 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The River Sharks go to 49-55, putting them 4th in the Continental League Central Division.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 2nd and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when designated hitter Tom Rowe drew a walk. The River Sharks went on to win.

Rowe called the win "a collective effort."
