Stars Hammered by Muńóz, Drop Game 6 to Browns
The St. Louis Browns and the Springfield Stars will take the Divisional Round to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Browns beat the Stars 7-5 at Kekambas Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. St. Louis left fielder Norberto Muńóz was named player of the game in the win after he was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

Had Muńóz not come through in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Muńóz hit a run-scoring single. The Browns never looked back after taking the 5-4 lead.

"Feels good to get the job done," Muńóz said after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Kekambas Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Scott Walker for St. Louis and José López for Springfield.
