César López put on a hitting clinic today as the Elkins Sting Rays dumped the Indian Hills Voodoo 11-3 at Voodoo Ballpark.

The Elkins third baseman made Indian Hills defenders earn their pay, lashing Indian Hills pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," López said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

César López hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
