Knights Stumble, Lose to Beavers
|
Getting a good performance from third baseman Howard Evans, the Baffin Island Beavers defeated the New York Knights, 9-2. Evans was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Beavers. Ramón López notched his 1st save in 1 chances. The Knights, now 29-59, have lost 7 straight.
Evans had a key at-bat for Baffin Island early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 20th home run of the season and gave Baffin Island an early 3-0 lead.
