Late Rally by Rebels Secures Win
The Boston Rebels did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Seattle Pikes at Pikes' Point Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Nelson Béltre, who captured player of the game honors. The win was credited to Enrique Muńóz in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Francisco Carrasco took the loss. At 5-3, the Rebels have played well so far.

Ken McDonald's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Francisco Carrasco for a run-scoring single. It put Boston in front, 5-4.

"Baseball is about momentum," said McDonald, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
