Nelson Hits 2 home runs in Noise Win
|
Nevada played host to Maui at the friendly confines of Branda's Palace.
The Nevada Noise powered past the Maui Tropics, 8-5, at Branda's Palace. Greg Nelson went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3, to lead the charge. Nevada bumps their record to 86-70 with the win.
The Noise got a big at-bat from first baseman Milton Watson. For the game, Watson was 1 for 2 with 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 123rd hit of the season gave Nevada a 2-0 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Watson said after the game.
