Cortéz Rips Nebraska for 5 Hits
Luis Antonio Cortéz put on a hitting clinic today as the Ohio State Buckeyes dumped the Nebraska Cornhuskers 18-10 at Haymarket Park.

The Ohio State shortstop made Nebraska defenders earn their pay, lashing Nebraska pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Cortéz said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Luis Antonio Cortéz struck out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Javier Rodríguez in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
