The Broken Arrow HS first baseman finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 32. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Vélez told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Alejandro Vélez grounded out in the 1st, walked in a run in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
