Despite his hitting heroics at Rifles Ballpark today, the Tigers lost 11-9 to the Indianapolis HS Rifles. Aponte battered Indianapolis HS for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book. Aponte just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits." Carlos Aponte hit a solo-shot off Mario Ortega in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, tripled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
