Sunday, June 17th, 2029
He's only 16 years old, but Colton Sewell of the Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central HS Trojans has clearly established himself as a star of High School Stars League.

His status grew today as the ace pitcher was named the winner of the 2029 High School CL Outstanding Hitter Award.

"I just want to pitch well and win games," he said. "The awards are nice though."

Sewell's award-winning season saw him put up a 5-0 record through 9 starts, throwing 48 innings. He had 52 strikeouts with 15 walks and a 1.69 ERA. Opponents hit only .183 against him during the season.

Tony Parker of the Temiskaming District Secondary School Saints finished second in voting, while José Díaz of the Bishop Gorman HS Balbasaurs finished third.
