 | Eastern League Names Thompson Best Player Thursday, October 18th, 2029 Wes Thompson of the Newark Bulldogs had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2029. The 24-year-old right fielder put up a .361 average and a .481 on-base percentage, piling up 144 hits, 32 doubles, no triples, 27 home runs, 130 RBIs and 92 runs scored. Jorge Flores of the Newark Bulldogs finished second in voting, while Bruce Foster of the Intercourse Amish finished third. |   |
