 | Newark Star, Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Wednesday, October 17th, 2029 The Eastern League announced today that Roberto Carrillo has been chosen the Outstanding Pitcher Award winner for 2029. The Newark hurler had everything working for him as he cruised to an outstanding 12-2 record. Carrillo put up an impressive 2.29 ERA in his award-winning season. He started 16 times, worked 110 innings, yielded 82 hits, walked 56, fanned 147 and held opposing hitters to a .208 average. Jason MacKnight of the Reading Rainbows finished second in voting, while Josh Young of the Kingston Iguanas finished third. |   |
