 | Delgado Earns ESL (28 & Under) Player of the Week Monday, August 27th, 2029 23-year-old Jaime Delgado made a few Rio Grande headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Eastern League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .538 average. Delgado collected 1 home run, 8 RBIs and scored 7 runs. Delgado has collected 97 hits for the Rattlesnake this year, 10 of them home runs. He has also netted 50 RBIs and scored 68 runs while batting .276. |   |
