 | Overrated Jeter End Haines's Streak Friday, July 13th, 2029 It was a doubly miserable day today for Henry Haines of the Wilmington Rebels, as he saw his 31-game hitting streak end and his team lose 10-4 to the Penquannock Overrated Jeter at Miller Park. The 22-year-old catcher was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Overrated Jeter. "Anyone on a 31-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Penquannock manager Matt Riddle said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." Haines is hitting .324 in 2029 with 62 RBIs and 12 home runs. |   |
