 | SNL (28 & Under) Presents Batter of Month Trophy to Payne Saturday, September 1st, 2029 Cornell Payne may be much younger than other hitters in the Southern League, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in August to win the Batter of the Month award. The 24-year-old Gainesville center fielder hit .333 with 7 home runs, 29 RBIs and 29 runs scored. For the season Payne has hit .271 with 18 home runs and 86 RBIs.
