 | Long Stretches Hit String to 20 Tuesday, August 14th, 2029 Tony Long, first baseman for the Trenton Stars, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 3-0 victory today over the Portland Privateers at East End Park today. "Not the outcome we wanted," Portland manager Raúl Chávez said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Tony Long grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and flied out in the 8th. Currently Long is batting .413 with 88 hits and 7 home runs.
