| Martin Tosses Shutout | It wasn't easy but the El Paso Texans made it look that way.
Starter Oscar Martin shut out the Nashua Redlegs despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the El Paso Texans cruised to victory, 2-0. Martin allowed only 3 hits and rang up 9 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
So far this year Martin has 7 wins and 1 loss and a 3.78 ERA. |
