| Carson Stops Salem Cold | In an impressive mound performance, Josh Carson of the Santa Fe Diablos checked the Salem Silver Souls on a 4-hitter and held them scoreless.
"He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," said Salem manager Tadamasa Oike. "Carson kept us confused the whole game."
The Santa Fe hurler rang up 8 strikeouts and issued 3 walks in his 9-0 shutout victory.
