The Gresham Gold Souls rolled to an easy 8-0 win over the Texarkana Bears at $5 Footlong Field today. Leading the way to victory was starter Miguel Ortíz, who shackled the Texarkana Bears and held them scoreless on a 4-hitter.

"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Ortíz said in his postgame press conference.

Ortíz has made 9 starts, tossed 50.1 innings, struck out 31 batters and walked 25. His record is 4-3 with a 4.11 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .279 batting average.
