| Banks Slaps 5 Hits | Dan Banks was sizzling at the plate today. In a game played at Tug McGraw Stadium, the Allentown left fielder blistered the Chattanooga Chinpokomon for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a 14-5 victory.
"Banks was too tough to get out today," Chinpokomon skipper José Avilés said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Dan Banks singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
This season Banks has hit 12 home runs and posted a .330 batting average. |
