It was a good time at Old Comiskey Park, where fans came to watch the Austin River Sharks and Chicago Machine get after it.

The Chicago Machine knocked off the Austin River Sharks, 10-8, at Old Comiskey Park. José Alomar was named player of the game for Chicago. He hit 1 single and 2 doubles, while driving in 3 runs. Chris Mitchell got credit for the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. Víctor Reyes was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 37 of 44 save opportunities.

The Machine got a big at-bat from first baseman Roberto Tobías. For the game, Tobías was 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the seventh, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Chicago a 7-6 lead.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Alomar.

The Machine saw their record improve to 59-91.
