| Rockets Score Late to Upend Aces, 4-3 | The Nassau Rockets did just enough to sneak past the Kenilworth Aces, 4-3, at Play Rocks Field. Nassau pitcher Rod Adams earned player of the game honors. Nassau reliever Guan-cai Yong was the winner. His record is now 4-5. The losing pitcher was Robinson Gonzáles. The win boosts the Rockets to 84-64. The loss puts the Aces at 100-48.
The Rockets got a big at-bat from catcher John Anderson. For the game, Anderson went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 125th hit of the season gave Nassau a 4-3 lead.
