| Rivería Helps G-Strings Beat Tropics | The Nashville G-Strings defeated the Maui Tropics, 7-4, at Rainbow Stadium. Nashville right fielder Miguel Rivería was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Clint John picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-5. He struck out 3 in 6 innings. Johnathan Phillips converted his 30th save in 36 tries.
Nashville grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Rivería hit a 3-run home run. His 23rd home run of the season put the G-Strings out in front, 4-1.
"Feels good to get the job done," Rivería said after the game.
The second-place G-Strings now have a win-loss record of 83-65.
