The Houston Marshals defeated the Baffin Island Beavers, 10-4, at Mythology Coliseum today. Leading the charge for Houston was first baseman Matt Smith. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. José Salinas picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-4. He struck out 5 in 6.1 innings. The 'W' lifts Houston's record to 65-80.

Jim Tracy aided the Houston cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the second. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
