| Marshals Lose to Beavers, 8-5 | Baffin Island designated hitter Eric Wheeler was a significant contributor in his team's 8-5 triumph over the Houston Marshals. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for Baffin Island. Tony Rocha earned his 21st save in 25 chances. The second-place Beavers now have a win-loss record of 82-61.
Wheeler contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Baffin Island in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Wheeler took a fastball from Stanley Inman and stroked the home run to right. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Beavers to leap in front, 2-1.
