| Beavers Come Back Late, Nip Athletics | The Baffin Island Beavers eked out a 2-1 win versus the Philadelphia Athletics at Edmund Fitzgerald Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Reagan Wear, who captured player of the game honors. Tony Rocha, credited with the save, is now 17 for 21 in save opportunities. The last-place Athletics have dropped 4 straight games.
César Valentín made it 2-1, Baffin Island, in the top of the ninth when he hit a sacrifice fly. It was a big at-bat in the Beavers win.
