| Beavers Solve Rockets, 4-2 | The Baffin Island Beavers got a stellar effort from pitcher Luis Féliz, helping Baffin Island score a 4-2 win over the visiting Nassau Rockets. Tony Rocha earned his 14th save in 18 chances. The Beavers bumped their record to 74-56 with this latest triumph.
The Beavers got a big at-bat from center fielder Tony Morton. For the game, Morton went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 21st home run of the season gave Baffin Island a 3-1 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Nassau skipper Ji-an Shaw, "and it cost us."
