| Pikes Walk It Off for 45th Win of Season | The Seattle Pikes beat the Greenville 84s, 7-4, at Pikes' Point Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of first baseman António Hernández, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Seattle reliever Cristián Escobar picked up the win, bumping his record to 5-8. Júlio Gracía was collared with the loss. Even with the win, the Pikes have a dismal 45-86 record.
Hernández had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a 2-2 curveball from Júlio Gracía, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Pikes a 7-4 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Hernández.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Hernández said.
