| Looters Score Late, Stun Marshals, 6-2 | New Orleans starter Edward Baker pitched effectively against the Houston Marshals at The Bayou at Heineken Field. The right-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. New Orleans is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Miguel Colón came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Houston pitcher Ron Scott, he hit a 0-2 splitter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting New Orleans on top, 3-2.
"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Colón said in postgame remarks.
