| Beavers Walk It Off for 64th Win of Season | The Baffin Island Beavers faced a tough opponent in Boston pitcher Arthur Green, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Beaver Dam by a final score of 4-3. Green went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Baffin Island reliever Beau Brown picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. David Lester took the loss. Baffin Island has now won 4 games in a row.
The Beavers got a big at-bat from third baseman Howard Evans. For the game, Evans was 1-5. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 104th hit of the season gave Baffin Island a 4-3 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Evans said after the game.
