| Hitmen Lose, 8-5, at Crown Royal Stadium | St Charles beat Hendersonville in a rain-soaked ballgame.
Despite a great performance by Hendersonville third baseman Ron Glass, the St Charles Sheens defeated the Hitmen by the score of 8-5 at Crown Royal Stadium. Glass went 3 for 3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The last-place Sheens raised their record to 38-69.
Miguel Encarnación hit a run-scoring triple off Tim Hill in the bottom of the first, which put the Sheens in front, 1-0. Encarnación had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 4.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Encarnación.
