| Kings Solve Bellas, 5-3 | The Kansas City Kings picked up a win at The Throne Room, knocking off the Pocatello Bellas, 5-3. Starting pitcher Francisco Morales, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Nick Parks earned his 18th save in 23 chances. At 55-42, the Kings find themselves in second place in the Continental League Central Division.
The Kings got a big at-bat from shortstop Gregg Nelson. For the game, Nelson went 1-3 with a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 32nd hit of the season gave Kansas City a 4-3 lead.
Morales told a Kansas City News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
