| Bandits Get Road Win, 9-3 | With second baseman Terry Dailey leading the charge, the San Francisco Bandits defeated the Portland Cards, 9-3, at The Kallipolis. Dailey went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Even with the win, the Bandits have a dismal 29-58 record.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when center fielder Scott Merritt, who is tied for 5th in the NL in hits with 104, hit a single. The Bandits went on to win.
Merritt told a San Francisco Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
