The Houston Marshals got a strong performance from pitcher José Gonzáles, who stymied the Austin offense en route to a 3-2 win at Greendale Community Field. The winning pitcher was Gonzáles, now 5-8. He tossed 5.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6.
Jim Tracy aided the Houston cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman was 1-4.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Austin skipper Will Shaw.
