| Bandits Edge Rebels, 3-2 | San Francisco right-hander Tim Murray made an effective start against the Boston Rebels at Bay View Park, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Even with the win, the Bandits have a dismal 23-54 record.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the fourth, with the game tied, Javier Ramírez was at the plate when San Francisco scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Bandits to go in front, 2-1.
"I felt good up there," said Ramírez. "I saw the ball well."
