5-Hit Blitz by Barker Saturday, August 12th, 2028 It was a sensational day at the plate for Mario Barker as he led the charge to a 14-7 win over the Cocks. The Coronado second baseman was pure misery for the Plymouth pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Barker put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Félix Ramírez, manager for the Cocks, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Mario Barker doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
