Best Pitcher Honor Goes to James of Indianapolis HS Thursday, June 15th, 2028 The Indianapolis HS clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Brenton James will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2028 High School CL Outstanding Pitcher Award. James made 9 starts this year, winning 5 and losing 0. He threw 50 innings, fanned 54, allowed 38 hits and 13 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .210 average as he logged an impressive 2.16 ERA. Will Hayes of the Indianapolis HS Rifles finished second in voting, while Manuel Rodríguez of the Masconomet HS Chieftans finished third. |
