Hit Streak Now at 20 for Roberts Sunday, May 7th, 2028 Temiskaming District Secondary School's 16-year-old center fielder Scott Roberts has had a fine run at the plate over the last few weeks. His consecutive-game hitting streak has reached 20 games now. Today Roberts extended the streak by going 2-for-4 against Wolves pitching. The streak has brought him a degree of attention that he has tried to deflect. Roberts always prefers to talk about his teammates' accomplishments rather than his own. After the Saints 10-9 triumph over Madawaska Valley HS at Ballpark of Bethlehem HS he downplayed his part in the victory. Scott Roberts singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th. On the season, Roberts is batting .463 with 11 home runs and 48 RBIs. He has played in 35 games. |
