Smith Tags Magicians for 5 Hits Friday, April 7th, 2028 Jonathan Smith put on a hitting clinic today at Swamp Bats Stadium, spraying hits all over the ballpark and lashing Oklahoma City HS pitchers for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. However, the offensive onslaught wasn't enough for the Jackson HS Swamp Bats, who still fell, 9-7. "Sometimes I try to pull the ball too much, so today I just went with the pitch," Smith told reporters after the game. "It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Jonathan Smith singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
