Illinois Clinches Wild Card Sunday, May 28th, 2028 The Illinois Fighting Illini certainly made things interesting. The NCAA Big 10 - Leaders club have battled to the bitter end and have come up with a wild card berth. "It's pretty satisfying to clinch the playoffs so late in the season," said starting pitcher Arnie Green. "You start to doubt yourself and wonder if you can even make it." But the Fighting Illini have in fact made it, with their 30-21 record holding up to now give them a chance at the franchise's 1st College Baseball championship. |
