Baylor Loses Ball for Year
Thursday, April 20th, 2028
The doctors have spoken and Randy Ball of the Baylor Bears didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ball sustained his season-ending injury during the Purdue Boilermakers game yesterday at Baylor Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Baylor medical staff reported Ball had a torn triceps and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.

Checking out his season stats to date, Ball has no saves in 5 relief appearances with a 0-1 record and 3.60 ERA.
