Detroit's Funk Injured, Out of Lineup Saturday, April 24th, 2027 The Dirty Snow received bad news this morning. Dave Funk will miss 8 months due to a fractured elbow. He sustained the injury in the Detroit-Montgomery game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Funk sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." This year Funk has a 1-3 mark in 7 starts with a 8.06 ERA. He has given up 44 hits in 25.2 innings, struck out 26 and issued 10 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .383 batting average against him. |
