Wheeler's Condition Worse, Gets Another Setback Wednesday, October 25th, 2028 A bit of bad luck has fallen on the Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese today as they learned that starting pitcher Oscar Wheeler had suffered a setback in his recovery from a strained abdominal muscle and will miss more time than expected. The team's doctors had been optimistic about the player's return date, but have now rescinded the original date. The initial guess at how much more time he'll miss is 2-3 weeks. Wheeler has a 8-11 season record so far. In 27 starts, he has fanned 146 batters in 177 innings with a 4.22 ERA. |
