Friday, September 29th, 2028
For Julián Madrid, it was a red-letter day. The Nevada Noise catcher slapped his 2000th career hit. That his team defeated the Fresno Deplorables, 6-2, made it even sweeter.

His manager paid tribute to Madrid after the game: "I've followed Julián since he came into the league," he said. "Fine ballplayer. Fine work ethic. I'm not surprised by what he's achieved."

The 33-year-old Madrid finished the day with 3 hits in 5 at-bats.

During his career Madrid has chalked up 2001 hits and a .302 average with 315 home runs and 1060 RBIs.
