At Jersey West at Staples Field Rubén Calderón smashed his 300th career home run in a game against Pocatello today. The 32-year-old designated hitter had a hand in the So Cal Bruins 19-6 victory with 1 home run and 1 RBI. For the day he went 3 hits-6 at-bats.

At the press conference after the game, Calderón downplayed his achievement.

"To reach 300 home runs is amazing and something I'll always cherish. I've been fortunate to remain healthy and play at a high level through most of my career."

In 1421 career games Calderón is hitting at a .271 pace with 1497 hits with 268 doubles, 26 triples and 300 homers while scoring 877 runs and racking up 1048 RBIs. He logged 478 walks and owns a .335 on-base percentage.
