Beavers Get 3-2 Win Versus Houston
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Baffin Island Beavers got the win.
The Baffin Island Beavers did just enough to sneak past the Houston Marshals, 3-2, at Beaver Dam. Baffin Island pitcher Jesse Little earned player of the game honors. With the win, Baffin Island has a record of 25-17. Houston falls to 18-24.
In the bottom of the third inning, the Beavers grabbed the lead when Alonso Ferreira rapped a two-out double. Baffin Island was trailing 1-0, when Ferreira hit a 2-run double off Daniel Grant to put his team in front, 2-1.
"Both teams played hard," said Baffin Island manager Chris Black.
