O'Loan Leads Charge, New Orleans Blasts River Sharks
The New Orleans Looters defeated the Austin River Sharks, 13-3, in National League action at Greendale Community Field. Dave O'Loan received player of the game honors. The 8-year veteran went 4-4 with a home run, a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. Juan Flores closed the game out for New Orleans, earning his 2nd save. Austin, at 8-23, is off to a poor start in 2028.

The Looters got a big at-bat from center fielder Miguel Colón. For the game, Colón was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave New Orleans a 2-1 lead.
