Browns Get Road Win, 7-4
|
The Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese got a superb performance from pitcher Octávio Ramírez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat St. Louis. The Browns won the game, 7-4. In spite of the loss, Ramírez was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings allowing 5 runs. The Browns raised their record to 8-13.
Early in the game, shortstop Carlos Alfaro had a run-scoring double for St. Louis. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Browns on top, 2-1.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Alfaro told the St. Louis Times.
